About Edge Photography

Edge Photographic and Design Studios was born in 2006 as a collaboration between two photographers, Trevor Kahn and Anel Minnaar in which high quality photographs could be produced in almost every field of photography. Neither of the two University graduate photographers chose to specialise in a certain genre of this medium but rather specialised in photography itself. This resulted in images being produces of high quality in whatever field the client requests.

The senior photographers at Edge photographic either have a National diploma, Honours Degree or Masters degree in Photography achieved at The Tshwane University of Technology (Pretoria Technikon). One of the aims of Edge photographic and Design Studios is to offer photographic students at the university the chance to gain valuable experience in the field they have chosen to specialise. Exposing these students to a business environment creates a stepping stone for these students and proves to be invaluable for the day when they have there own businesses, providing high end photographs for high end customers.

The photographers at EDGE are qualified to use the following formats and procedures in Photography:

SLR and DSLR 35mm photography
Hand developing of E6, C41 and Black and White film
Hand printing Black and White images
Medium Format photography: 6 x 6, 645, 6 x 7 and 6 x 17 in digital and film
Large format 4 x 5 film and digital
Expert Photoshop skills
